THE POSITIVE:
STRATEGIC/CLEVER/INTELLIGENT - Suzaku is an intelligent creature, and likes too think things through before he does anything. He enjoys challenges, and plays chess quite frequently with just about anybody, though he hates it when people let him win.
CALM - Many of his subordinates have said that Suzaku, despite being barely more than a child, has almost never gotten angry enough to yell and scream or anything of the sort. Quite a few find it unnerving.
POLITE - Suzaku is eloquent with his speech, and without this vital trait, he would be nowhere. He likes to get on the good side of people he considers vital to him, whether for personal reasons or to keep his unstable throne safe.
STRONG SENSE OF JUSTICE - Oddly, despite his penchant for eradicating resistance, Suzaku has a ridiculously strong sense of justice, and keeps a rather firm hand on the law in his region. He likes to judge extremely important cases, and particularly likes to sentence rapists and murderers to all manners of tortures.
SERIOUS - While some have commented that the atmosphere of the young lord's castle is somewhat stifling, you can be assured that if you are close to him, you can pour out the depths of you heart and he will never, ever laugh at anything you convey to him that's not meant to be a joke. However, this can be a double edged sword.
THE NEGATIVE:
COLD - In all honesty, Suza has a tendency to push others away from him, and if the person is not important to him in any way, he can easily drop the polite facade and bluntly tell them that they are unwanted. He does, however, have a select few who are close to him.
SOLITARY - Suzaku likes to wander off on his own and simply listen to the silence, or fall asleep at his favorite dog or warhorse's side. He does occasionally get lonely, but over all, if the whole population disappeared, he wouldn't notice for a day or two. This rather frustrates his staff.
STUBBORN - Despite what you may think, Suzaku can get a little childish at times. He has the stubbornness of mule, and likes to have his own way.
ARROGANT - Being a lord has gone to his head a bit, and being waited on hand and foot by a large household doesn't really help it. Even though he was originally the underdog, Suzaku has forgotten the feeling, and views himself as superior to the average peasant.
VENGEFUL - Suzaku isn't very forgiving, the prime example of that being what happened to those who stood in his way and belittled him for his youth. Even the smallest of transgressions are not forgotten, and he likely has more grudges than fingers and toes. He likes to ruin the lives of those he believes deserve it, and takes pleasure in their misery.

THEIR STORY: Suzaku was born the youngest of his father's children. He was the last of his family's brood, and was doted upon from a young age. No one ever thought he would amount to much, the pale, thin, and a tad bit sullen child they affectionately called "Suza". His mother always had thought that he would make a fine diplomat, for she noticed from early on the suave way he would conduct and endear himself to everyone around him. As he grew, he began to train harder than the rest of his family, trying to escape the barely hidden disappointment that he noticed from others as they took in his feminine, slender body. He grew manipulative as well, learning to subtlety bend the wills of those he could control to suit his own needs. He began to discover where his talents lay, after becoming frustrated with typical weapons, and tried archery. As the years passed, his arms grew stronger, as did his concentration, and for a while, he became content with what he was, adding horse back riding and strategy to his skills. After three more years, he became more restless and ambitious.
His father at the time, decided to crown his only heirs. Suzaku was given the southern region at the mere age of twelve. Despite his father's backing, the territory went into an uproar, unwilling to take a mere child as their lord. The first rebellion came, and Suzaku had been unsure of what to do. However, he grew angrier and angrier whenever he overheard anyone commenting about how he had only received his rank through a blatant act of nepotism. So the child set about the task of razing the rebellion to the ground, ruthlessly cutting down every last member of the group who had initiated it.
At the age of thirteen, he became a murderer. Blood stained his hands. The men who had witnessed it all, his elite group of archers, and his army, watched his transition from naive to a cold, hardened veteran. They soon began to become loyal to him, his new found charisma slowly pulling them into his web.

RP SAMPLE:
Veridian eyes swept over the scene wearily as the young teenager watched, his expression unreadable as he surveyed the battle raging below. He noted, with a smirk of satisfaction, that his forces were slowly, but surely pushing the enemy back. He threw his head back and giggled, the normally happy sound coming out with a much more disturbing aura. He turned to the small group of archers who were behind him, hidden in the tall trees that marked the beginnings of the forest. Suzaku addressed them with a smile, unable to contain his gleeful grin. Some in the group shifted nervously under his odd gaze. "It seems that we're not needed after all, men." He chimed, and turned, just in time to see a wild-eyed man, likely in his late twenties, charging at him with a fearsome yell as he ascended the hill. His archers glanced at one another, unsure of what to do. They disliked their child of a lord, but to just let him die...
Suzaku, unfortunately, did not have the time to sit there and wait for their response. Tossing his dark hued bow to the nearest soldier, he drew a short sword from it's sheath, and thanked the gods that he had brought it. He usually brought only his bow and arrows. He blocked, gritting his teeth as the hiss of the blades clashing met his ears. The man continued to bear down on the child, his superior strength slowly pushing him down. In an act of desperation, Suzaku summoned all the strength left in his body, and with a pure rush of adrenaline, he pushed the man's sword to the side and with a soft thud, both swords landed softly on the grass. Unfortunately, the man had a dagger, and he quickly pulled it out of it's barely visible sheath, and leered at Suzaku as he edged closer. The blade loomed closer and closer, and an oddly familiar fear gripped his heart. No... I can't die here! I haven't proven myself to my father... and my brothers. He yelped suddenly, backing up, but falling, dirt and grime coating his legs as he quivered. Realizing the state he had reduced himself too, he stood, his legs no longer quivering, and he stared blankly at the man. At least he would die with his dignity intact. In one last self indulgent act, he closed his eyes. Seeing his own blood had always troubled him to an extent. He was ready for death's sweet embrace.
It never came.
A loud thunk could be heard as the arrow embedded itself in it's target. The grim, dark colored eagle feathers identified it as one of his own army's archers who had fired it. The attacker dropped to the ground, his face contorted in an expression of surprise as blood ran in streams down his face. Turning his head, he met the sea blue gaze of one of the youngest in the squad, a man barely out of his teen years. He gave the boy a nod, and Suzaku collapsed to his knees. His hands were splayed out on the ground as he fought for breath. The archers watched silently as the man who had fired the arrow dropped down from the thick tree branch he had sat on. He hesitantly approached Suzaku, and the young lord waved him away as he stood, knees quivering slightly. A raw sense of viciousness overtook him as he claimed his bow and faced the foreboding forest. He whistled, and at this, archers poured out of the woods, and assembled before him silently. Many glared at him, for they still did not accept him as their liege, but they did not voice their opinions at the moment. "Well men, why don't we show those fucking pansies who is stronger?" He said icily, his unnaturally strong desire for revenge overruling his normally eloquent speech, and a few in the crowd gave hearty cries in agreement.
Assembling in a rank and file order, they stood, bows at ready. An older man pulled a horn from it's place at his waist, and blew into it, the five short blasts alerting the army to retreat. The majority were bewildered at this sudden change in orders. The battle was theirs! Then, they looked up briefly at their lord in confusion. One by one, they suddenly disengaged their enemies, turning tail and fleeing. The enemy army, thinking they had somehow won, cheered. But one man looked up, his eyes landing on the boy lord and his archers. He paled, and quivering, he shook his companion on the shoulder, pointing in horror to the location of the archers and the boy, who was now grinning almost maniacally. As the few who had noticed began to back up, before turning and running in the other direction, Suzaku turned to his men, his grin turning to a dangerous smirk as he stated, quite simply, "Fire."
